-This is messed up. Menu Foods, a pet food company, received complaints that cats and dogs were dying after eating Menu’s products. So the company fed the food to 40-50 more animals to try and figure out what the problem was. That’s sick. How about just pulling all the food? And doing autopsies on the animals that had already died? It seems a bit unnecessary to kill a bunch of animals and say, “Yep, this food’s killing animals, alright.” I’d also like to know where they got the animals for testing from. What kind of place would give away animals to be poisoned?
-The Ontario Liberal government is taking an NDP MPP to court. Shelley Martel has been trying to find out how much the government has spent fighting families with autistic children who want the government to pay for more than the paltry amount of care they pay for right now. What? What? What? I almost couldn’t believe this when I heard it. The government is wasting more money taking her to court so that people won’t find out how much money they’ve wasted on their previous ridiculous court battle? Eeek. More ridiculous than that bit of terrible logic is that the government is taking another member of the government to court. I can’t wrap my head around what kind of decision-making process would allow an idea like that to make it into the stage where it’s actually carried out. She’s doing her job by keeping tabs on the party in charge. It’s her job. The Liberals should be working these things out in Queen’s Park. I don’t see what they could possibly stand to gain by doing this. They look like ludicrous idiots and jerks for taking legal action against their co-worker. Even if we don’t know the numbers for their battle against these families with autistic children, we know it’s probably bad – they look like they have something to hide now (though really, anything greater than $0 is too much). And they’re wasting money they could be spending on something useful. Did someone forget to tell them there’s an election coming up?
