Good news! I have managed to eliminate one council candidate in my ward as a potential recipient of my vote. How did I come to this decision? Easy. On the Star’s website, Chris Reid lists Mike Harris as his “Political Hero.”
Now I just have to drop 6 more from the list and I’ve got my winner!
Now, I’m no fan of Belinda Stronach’s…but this is really crossing the line:

That comment is actually pretty funny, if only because now I hope it’s open-season on Ralph. Like it’s really hard to think of insults for an overweight, alcoholic, ex-weatherman. I like Belinda a lot, if only because she keeps putting up with this shit with a certain amount of grace, but I’d love to hear her rip a few zingers about Petey’s “little bone” or something before the end of this saga.
Oh, Ralph Klein. I’d expect nothing less from a man who is supposed to be in charge of the well-being of Alberta’s citizens, yet showed up drunk at a homeless shelter in the middle of the night to harass its residents.
But yeah, Borrelli, your comments are dead on. Belinda Stronach may not have impressed me when she decided to enter politics, but lately I have a lot more respect for her. I’d never have the patience to put up with all that shit as well as she has. A lot of people keep trying to shrug these things off, but she’s perfectly right when she says the comments are bad not just because they’re insulting to her personally, but because they’re the obvious signs of sexism that’s bubbling just under the surface (on the Hill and elsewhere).
